What does an Amazon FBA first-leg shipment actually involve, and what do I need to provide?
Nine steps, roughly: confirm the cargo profile and channel (ocean FBA, air FBA, air plus final-mile, ocean plus final-mile) → book and secure space → domestic pickup or self-delivery into our warehouse → consolidation, checking and stuffing → export declaration, with AMS and ISF filed by us → sail or fly → US clearance, on either duty-paid or duty-unpaid terms → book the delivery appointment → return the receipt and POD. From you we normally need only three base documents — packing list, commercial invoice and sales contract — plus the Amazon shipment plan, FBA labels and carton marks; the clearance team prepares the rest. If storage limits bite or a shipment is refused, cargo can divert into our own US warehouse to be held, relabelled or re-packed and then re-booked into the FC. Talk to our FBA desk to confirm the channel and the schedule for your shipment.
